Responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog

How will you make an impact?

• Own the product plan, driven from the product roadmap, created by the product manager
• Create a prioritized backlog based on high level product requirements
• Clearly describe product backlog items
• Ensure transparency into the upcoming work of the product development team
• Work closely with technical writers
• Work closely with the UX expert to ensure product usability
• Support the product manager in development of user scenarios for technical users
  Work closely with R&D to:
  Explain the motivation and the customer needs behind a new requirement
  • Own and groom (create and explain) the user stories
  • Be there daily for the team for any question & feedback
  • Understand and prioritize technical requirements
• Provide support to customer support, professional services, technical presales teams and training where required

Have you got what it takes?

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably Computer Science or Engineering, MBA is an advantage
• 5 - 8 years of experience into Product Owner
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Ability to understand technical solutions
• Ability to see the big picture and translate it to detailed needs
• Experience working in an agile delivery methodology organization
• Excellent communication skills across all levels, from executive management to individual contributors
• Excellent English, both verbal and written
• Fast learner with the ability to oneself on relevant technologies
• Ability to remain focused and calm under pressure
• Ability to work successfully with clients and business partners directly – advantage
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work across boundaries in a matrix organization
