The consumer mobile tools & infrastructure team is looking for a mobile DevOps lead engineer Who will work closely with the leads from mobile domains to gather requirements and design & develop tools and automation to improve the productivity of mobile engineers. The candidate needs strong communication and has experience with Mobile DevOps in a large-scale & fast-paced environment. A strategic leader and technical expert who is passionate about optimizing workflows, adopting cutting-edge tools, and enhancing the developer experience to accelerate time-to-market.

Job Description:

Job Requirements:

  • Mobile Build Systems : Expertise in Xcode, Gradle, Fastlane, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, and Android Studio.
  • CI/CD Pipelines : Deep knowledge of designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable CI/CD systems tailored for mobile platforms.
  • Developer Productivity : Focused on creating tools and processes that streamline development workflows and reduce friction.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure : Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Cross-Platform Expertise : Skilled at harmonizing build and deployment workflows for both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Agile Leadership : Experienced in driving Agile practices to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Collaboration : Strong advocate for cross-functional teamwork, ensuring alignment between Mobile Platform Engineering, QA, and Feature development teams.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and decision making in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, engineering leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Experience working on a team using Agile practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the strategic vision for mobile build, release, and deployment pipelines, aligning with business objectives and development goals.
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices, including automation, continuousintegration/continuousdelivery (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams(development, QA, product) to ensure seamless and efficient mobile application delivery.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and toolsto optimize the mobile DevOps workflow.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs)to measure and improve build, release, and deployment efficiency.
  • Act as a point of escalation for critical build and deployment issues, providing expert guidance and resolution.
  • Contribute to the overall mobile engineering roadmap, providing expertise in DevOps and infrastructure.
