Key job responsibilities:The work will include:- Participating in network projects in the areas of network sustaining engineering, network deployment/implementation, network scaling, technology refresh, best practices application, and/or network optimization- Analysing the network using tools and metrics to ensure it is operating correctly, safely and securely
- Investigating and solves straightforward technical problems, assists in fixing them so they don't come back- Delivering simple, straightforward, repeatable solutions and processes
- Learning new and upcoming networking systems and developing ways of safely implementing them into our environmentAbout the team

- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, and Network Security architecture and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, load balancers, firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IP address management.
- Knowledge & experience of Linux or other Unix operating systems
- Knowledge of different networking hardware and their role
- Basic scripting/programming with one or more of Python (preferred), Perl, Ruby, Shell, Java, etc.
