Key job responsibilities
Work with program teams and development engineering to create test strategies to inform development and verify requirements. This can take on many forms in terms of improving existing test methodologies, creating new techniques, and developing new fixtures and equipment. Our primary goals are to insure that our development teams are delivering safe, high quality, and robust solutions on time to improve the Amazon fulfillment network.A day in the life
You will work daily with our development team throughout the development cycle providing data to inform design decisions and ultimately verifying that all product requirements are met. This happens at your computer writing test plans, in the labs gathering data, designing and building new fixtures, helping to debug early prototypes, developing new methodologies, and looking into the future. - Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working in new technology or product development
- Experience in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Design experience of simple parts, assemblies, and fixtures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Electro-Mechanical systems
- Ability and desire to work hands on in lab environments

- Experience with the project management of technical projects
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
- Deep hands-on technical expertise in testing of electro-mechanical systems
- Experience writing test reports analyzing data
- Experience in automation or robotic systems
- Experience with FEA (Ansys and/or SW Simulation)
- Understanding of safety systems
- Basic coding/scripting capabilities
- Experience creating test plans derived from functional design requirements
