Responsibilities:
Lead Caramel’s DevOps practice, ensuring the Terraform-based platform is robust, scalable, and maintainable
Lead Caramel’s Security practice, including efforts to identify, respond to and remediate issues impacting our users or business
Work with the team to iterate and scale our TypeScript-based Express API running on AWS Lambda and RDS as well as our Nuxt web client to handle increasing traffic and growing business demands
Drive discovery and solution alignment by evaluating technical options, proposing the best approach, and implementing a development plan
Lead cross-team initiatives, collaborating with engineering, product, and other collaborators to establish best practices and architectural standards
Own the full software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to deployment and monitoring
Develop domain expertise in product capabilities such as Identity Verification and Vehicle Transport, and apply that to solving technical and product challenges
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience and 8 or more years of software design and relevant experience
Expertise in building large scale distributed systems and using open source technologies
Excellent knowledge in practicing OOAD, architectural and design patterns, open-source platforms, frameworks, technologies, and software engineering methodologies
Hands-on experience in Javascript, Web technologies, RESTful Services, Design Patterns, Databases
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
