As a Platform Operations Engineer, ensure change safety, improve processes, and reduce incidents from network changes.
As a Platform Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring, managing, and maintaining infrastructure with 3,55,000+ Linux servers, 12000+ Layer 3 and 20,000+ Layer 2 devices.
- Responding to hardware/software/network/OS related alerts, in a timely fashion as per pre-defined SLAs.
- Troubleshooting global ISP connectivity issues, focusing on packet loss, filtering, latency, and routing.
- Analyzing network traffic patterns and performance metrics to detect anomalies in the network.
- Resolving switch issues, including upgrades, STP, VLAN configuration, and faulty interfaces.
- Troubleshooting various router problems, such as faulty ports, misconfigurations, Handling BGP peering issues and Routing policy changes
- Troubleshooting network issues in akamai fabric clusters and backbone network.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized and reputed institution with an excellent academic record.
- Have 6 months to 1 year of networking experience in a NOC or similar environment.
- Have great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Have proficiency in technical analysis and troubleshooting.
- Have a CCNA certification from Cisco (mandatory).
- Have familiarity with Linux/Unix and SQL or a willingness to learn these skills.
