Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
· Atleast 5+ years of relevant experience in below areas.
· Solid understanding of embedded systems running RTOS
· Proficient in Linux, Android and Windows Audio Software stack, including user and kernel space
· Some understanding of Audio signal processing
· Some experience with implementing Audio processing blocks on DSP
· Proficient in writing C/C++ programs
· Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
· Some experience with ARM assembly is desirable
· Solid understanding of Linux ALSA framework
· Experience with source control management software like Git, Gerrit, Perforce
· Experience with GCC and CLANG usage, including optimization, memory corruption debugging
· Experience with static analysis of code using tools like Klocwork
· Experience with code coverage tools like GCOV
· Solid fundamentals of unit testing of complex software. Desirable to have some experience with test driven development
Principal Duties:
· Prototype new Audio features for pre-commercialization
· Demonstrate proof of concept designs for cutting edge audio features
· Occasionally support commercialization teams to commercialize prototyped audio features
· Document new designs for commercialization teams to use as reference
· Write unit tests to cover code paths comprehensively
