Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate clear functional strategy and objectives in alignment with brand marketing strategy and operations requirements to deliver compelling results
  • Negotiate with and influence decision-making reaching the senior executive level
  • Identify and resolve unique situations of substantial significance in field of brand marketing
  • Allocate resources, responsibly and apply creativity to convey a consistent and compelling brand message
  • Provide support, coaching and guidance to others to build strong brand recognition and loyalty

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

As a cross-functional leader, you will manage high-visibility, complex brand and marketing programs from concept to launch—partnering closely with internal stakeholders, executive leadership, cross-disciplinary creative teams, and external agency partners. Your ability to navigate betweenwill be critical to delivering multi-channel campaigns that resonate, perform, and scale globally.

Brand & Creative Excellence

  • Champion and implement Venmo’s brand foundations , including Visual Identity, Verbal Identity (ensuring consistency across Marketing and Product), and overall foundational strategy (naming conventions, positioning).

  • Manage and enforce brand approvals : maintain brand guidelines (Brand HQ), oversee logo/wordmark usage in partnerships, and ensure brand fit across campaigns, activations, and product applications.

  • Serve as brand steward and creative champion, ensuring consistency, integrity, and excellence across all consumer-facing experiences.

Integrated Marketing & Campaigns

  • Own the strategic development and day-to-day management of integrated advertising campaigns and marketing programs from inception through delivery.

  • Translate business goals into actionable marketing plans and creative briefs, aligning program execution with brand and performance objectives.

  • Serve as the main point of contact between internal stakeholders, leadership, and agency partners created best-in-class creative.

  • Partner closely with creative teams to guide campaign development, ensuring strategic alignment and adherence to Venmo’s brand identity and creative standards.

Branded Experiences & Touchpoints

  • Lead the creation of branded product experiences, spanning physical (Venmo Debit Card and Credit Card) and digital experiences.

Creative & Production Leadership

  • Build and lead Venmo’s rapid, agile creative and production arm —overseeing intake, resourcing, and execution of briefs with internal teams and external agencies.

  • Manage creative team output across design, copy, and production for high-priority initiatives.

  • Tackle reactive/quick-turn creative and content needs

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and grow a team of program managers and creative project managers to build scalable processes and best practices.

  • Manage relationships with external agencies and production partners to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in account management, program management, and brand marketing—preferably within a creative agency or brand environment.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale brand and advertising programs across digital, social, video, and traditional media.

  • Strong understanding of brand identity systems, creative workflows, and marketing campaign lifecycles .

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (media, analytics, creative, production) in-house at a high-growth brand or Fortune 500 company.

  • Background in consumer-facing industries such as tech, retail, CPG, or lifestyle.

The total compensation for this practice may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. For more information, visit .

The US national annual pay range for this role is $152,500 to $262,350
