What you'll be doing:
Support and train physical designers in use of advanced internal tools for timing closure, place and route analysis, and logic ECOs.
Ensure a high quality design environment through building a robust CAD software test suite.
Work closely with design teams to ensure we are providing an environment with the highest level of automation, accuracy, usefulness, and stability possible.
In general, he or she should view CAD quality as not simply an isolated signoff step, but as an overall strategy that involves understanding and educating users, recognizing new applications, and playing a key role in a productive design team that ultimately leads to on time, high performance, high quality Nvidia hardware.
What we need to see:
BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years relevant experience CAD or ASIC VLSI design experience
Strong experience in Python and significant experience in Perl.
Thorough knowledge of design flows ranging from RTL design through synthesis, place and route, and timing closure.
Familiar or at least strongly interested in modern software testing methodologies.
Self-motivated, practical, enjoys working with people, and a good communicator.
Some experience in C++ would be very helpful.
Some familiarity with machine learning tools and techniques would be great.
