Citi Services includes Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) and Securities Services. TTS provides an integrated suite of Liquidity, Payments and Trade/Working Capital solutions to multinational corporations, financial institutions, public sector organizations and increasingly mid-sized corporate clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, define and analyze areas that would extend our existing Trade and Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) business into new offerings, new market segments, and/or new business models.

  • Source, screen and select third-party companies which whom Citi can partner to pursue new opportunities and achieve new business impact

  • Build connectivity and alignment with the various teams required to make a new partnership or innovation initiative successful. This includes product, operations, technology, sales and control partner organizations(legal/risk/compliance), at a minimum.

  • Work with the global product organization and various control functions to onboard partners and successfully navigate all required governance processes.

  • Develop business and commercialization plans to ensure the team focuses on partnership and innovation efforts that have a high probability of delivering positive business impact, on a scale that matters to TWCS.

  • Leverage the Services-wide partner health program to ensure onboarded partners continue to meet their expected outcomes and if not, by diagnosing and resolving issues, get them on a path to do so.

  • Ensure a flawless adherence to, and instill a TWCS appreciation for, all of the governance rails required to launch a partnership and innovation program including BRR, NAC, AML NPA, PIA, GDR, TPRAP, bringing all relevant control partners into these initiatives early enough for them to contribute and inform

  • Lead efforts to analyze complex problem areas not fully satisfied by current products and partnerships and solve them by defining and delivering creative solutions. This may include running workshops, performing market research, leading digital product development efforts, and facilitating partner and/or client co-creation projects.

  • Evangelize TWCS’ innovation and digitization efforts by delivering presentations, contributing to thought leadership pieces, supporting client meetings, and participating in industry events.

  • Analyze potential investments in third party entities that will result in additional value to the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8+ years financial services experience

  • Significant experience in client-facing roles, being perfectly comfortable interacting with clients, interviewing them to better understand their unique requirements, and presenting unique solutions to them

  • Tech savvy, having an understanding of emerging technologies and experience directing technical teams during software development cycles

  • Experience exploring new business relationships, defining commercial relationships, and working with legal teams to structure contracts, all in pursuit of a win-win-win (Citi-Partner-Citi Client)

  • Experience developing multi-year business models, detailing pricing models, revenue streams, multi-category cost models and documenting critical assumptions that drive those models

  • Experience in facilitating multiple corporate innovation initiatives, employing a wide variety of methods and processes including ideation, design thinking exercises, how-might-we exercises.

  • Experience in using a variety of tools and techniques to perform external research, having developed market landscape and competitive landscape assessments that have been used to drive strategy

  • Experience in analyzing fintech’s, potential investments, value and benefits

  • Understands their role as a Risk manager, embodying the spirit of Citi’s robust Risk and Control culture and understanding Citi’s approach to managing risk, as described in Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework
