Identifying and qualifying Low-Cost Country sourcing opportunities that maintain quality while improving cost position & reducing risk
Managing strategic supplier relationships in line with company and strategic initiative expectations that establishes an optimal balance between collaborative engagement and competitive pressure with supply base
Negotiating and executing contracts that deliver the best outcomes for Boston Scientific, driving sustained year-over-year value improvement related to quality, service, and cost
Gathering and analyzing market intelligence and reporting on trends, risks, etc. related to strategic initiatives & identifying market/sourcing risks and working with stakeholders to define and execute mitigation plans
Demonstrating the ability to effectively engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and organizational objectives
Attending on-site supplier visits for assessments, negotiations, business reviews, etc.
Providing support to Site Purchasing Teams as required for implementing strategic initiatives
Establishing a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Boston Scientific's Quality Policy, Quality System, and applicable regulations
Job Requirements:
Candidate required to process at least Bachelor's degree in any related field.
Minimum of 10 years Strategic Procurement (Sourcing) and Supplier Relationship Management Experience in a manufacturing environment. Medical Device experience is an advantage.
Experience with strategic sourcing initiatives, particularly Supplier Diversity, Local Sourcing, or Low-Cost Country sourcing
Experience working in medical device or similar regulated industry
Strong decision-making and negotiation skills, ability to influence internal and external teams
Experience with project management and peer leadership
Ability to work independently & collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete strategic projects
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills: process and results-oriented
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA and/or Professional Certification (CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
Experience with supplier diversity program development and implementation
