Your key responsibilities

You will be responsible for effectively engaging with clients and executing engagements under the supervision of Managers/Senior managers. You will be engaged in Client Engagements in the following areas:

  • Financial statement preparation in compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory guidelines
  • Applying IFRS to complex transactions and scenarios
  • Preparing financial information for submission to the management and regulators
  • Preparing carve-out financial statements
  • Preparing management reports (including reporting templates)

You will plan, prepare, and review deliverables in various forms including excel data books, written reports, presentations, and discussions with the client.

Moreover, you will assist Managers/Senior Manager with business development proposals on existing / new clients along with driving innovation in service delivery; ensure delivery is in line with firm’s Quality and Risk management requirements/expectations. Further, you will be responsible to assist Managers/Senior Manager in developing/refreshing methodologies related to our existing/new solutions. You must contribute to various firm wide initiatives like learning and development (L&D) programs, campus recruitment, knowledge sharing, practice development and growth under guidance of Managers.

You also must take up project execution responsibility in a team or individually as per requirements and work plan, review work done by sub-ordinates (if any) and provide qualitative inputs before submission of deliverables to seniors/client due to sensitive information towards EY code of conduct, values, and quality standards.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of accounting & financial management
  • Minimum of four years of work experience in financial consulting
  • Professional part qualification or Qualified such as ACCA, CA, CPA or MBA in Finance
  • Big4 firm experience is advantageous.
  • Practical experience relating to the preparation of the financial statements, statutory reporting, application of IFRS, financial information preparation for management and for regulatory submission, etc.
  • The ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East as per the project requirements
  • Flexibility to work in teams with diverse background
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and writing).
