When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow.Based out of our Redding, California office, you’ll participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning and implementing environmental investigation and remediation projects. You’ll learn from other experienced staff who are ready to mentor you, and you’ll pass your knowledge on to others. You’ll gain valuable experience in drilling and subcontractor oversight, including soil and groundwater, spending about 70 to 90% of your time in the field. You’ll balance your field work with some time spent in the office supporting teams with evaluating and reviewing data, writing reports and preparing project documents. You’ll be juggling multiple tasks, so we’ll rely on you to prioritize effectively, keeping the big-picture in mind.
Safety will be your priority, as you contribute to “incident free” operations and maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety in everything you do.
Qualifications - External
- Engineering (Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or preferred), Geology, or Environmental Science
- Ability to travel (local to Redding) up to 70%-90% of the time
- Be physically fit to perform fieldwork and wear a respirator, if required
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Internship experience within environmental consulting including field observation and/or environmental sampling experience
- Internship experience writing reports (text, table, and figure preparation)
- Ability to build relationships, motivate others, and being part of teams determined to drive results
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
