As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be in charge of building end-to-end solutions from raw inputs to reporting layer, to help Worldwide Operations Finance organization drive better, data-driven decisions.As Amazon Operations network continues to grow and evolve, driving efficient decisions at scale becomes challenging, and requires combination of technical knowledge, engineering best practices, strong analytical skills, and business acumen.To be successful in the role, you will need to be able to translate business requirements into technical specifications, implement them in practice and take ownership of the final solution. You will balance short-term goals and long-term optimization: delivering results to customers, while minimizing technical debt.
Key job responsibilities- Ensuring data quality and accuracy.- Reviewing code and design of other engineers.
A day in the life
You will be working on creating standard reports, that will be used by diverse population of finance people - from ordinary analysts to senior leadership. Quality and integrity of these reports will be affecting tactical and long-term decisions in Operations Finance.

- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- 2+ years of experience working with ETL, data analytics and visualization
