In the Software Platform Applications role, your responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
- Providing software development and debug support for Intel Automotive customers through debug of customer issues and working across organizational boundaries to drive resolution for the customer for Intel automotive products.
- Directly engaging with customers to represent customer technical needs and requirements in new product development.
- Create and maintain customer collateral, training materials and user guides for Intel Automotive hardware and software products. Support customer in proof-of-concept definition and implementation on Intel platforms.
In the Hardware Platform Applications role, your responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
- Directly engaging customers to provide support for customer developed systems including providing on-site power on support.
- Participating in the defining and development of Proof of Concept systems (and demos).
- Replicating and debugging customer reported platform issues.
- Development and presentation of technical collateral to customers, ecosystem providers, and the sales channel.
- Working directly with platform and chipset software architects to develop and finalize platform hardware requirements.
- Participate in new product and program meetings.
- Participate in customer platform schematic and layout reviews.
- Provide support to analysis teams in the context of field quality return issues.
- Making use of laboratory measurement equipment during debug activities.
- Operate Linux based machines and tools in order to build and flash SW components and facilitate debug activities.
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum qualifications for both the Software and Hardware Platform Applications role:
- BSEE, BSCS, MSEE or equivalent
- Experience with laboratory debugging equipment or SoC interfaces
- 5+ years of experience in one of the following areas:
- SW - BIOS/Bootloader/Firmware development, system integration, Android development, linux development, embedded systems design, OR
- HW - HW development with Intel Architecture products, microprocessor architecture, chipset architectures, system architecture, platform hardware design, platform software design, firmware design.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building technical relationships with customers
- Skills to work independently, multitask effectively, and be successful in a multi-functional team environment.
- Skills to create customer ready collateral, white papers, and training materials.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas with external automotive customers.
- Skills to lead either a hardware or software power-on effort on-site with customer, including the understanding of power-on and boot flows, and debug of complex hardware and/or software issues
- Proficiency with and ability to debug kernel level driver issues
- Excellent overall understanding of Intel Architecture with experience in one or more of the following:
- Demonstrated experience specifying and developing HW platforms comprehending system and software elements.
- Experience using Schematic and Layout tools, and/or demonstrated skills to read schematic and layout files.
- Proficiency in navigating schematic and layout designs as well as laboratory measurement equipment.
- Debug of automotive specific applications and related problems from concurrent system configuration, software/firmware, and hardware variables.
- Experience in automotive system software design.
- Strong lab debug skills including the ability to use lab tools including debuggers, protocol analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Experience in the following areas: Android, Linux, graphics, displays, cameras, audio, hypervisors/virtualization, HSIO, MCUs, Ethernet
- Ability to perform signal integrity and/or power integrity simulations on customer designs.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and obsessiveness in creating best in class customer collateral.
- Python knowledge for creating automation in laboratory debug activities.
- Experience with Intel power delivery architecture and general SoC bring-up challenges
- Experience with automotive IVI systems architecture
