About the Role


The role is responsible for increasing the number of patients treated with our range of electrophysiology products, including our new Farapulse technology ( ) across The Netherlands. You will actively develop, maintain, and leverage relationships with medical stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, and medical societies, increasing our market share of the electrophysiology product franchises. You will develop education and training programs for physicians and hospital staff on our electrophysiology product line. You will also be managing a group of Dutch KOL’s collaborating on various research topics concerning PFA. You will be accountable for the achievement of sales goals, and growth of the therapy and product knowledge in the medical sector to support patient identification and treatment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Successful delivery of the long-term growth strategy of our electrophysiology portfolio across The Netherlands, increasing our market share.

  • Maintaining awareness of the industry, competition, healthcare and economic trends and their impact on the franchise and business plans, adjusting our strategy accordingly to reflect market conditions.

  • Identifying new business opportunities and accounts by developing and leveraging relationships with academic and research institutions and clinical stakeholders and key opinion leaders.

  • Updating your knowledge to continuously demonstrate the economic and clinical benefits of the Boston Scientific electrophysiology solutions portfolio and how we differentiate from our competitors.

  • Developing and actively engage in executing sales strategies and activities to grow the number of patients treated with our products.

  • Ensuring increased numbers of patient treatment and clinical success through the education and training of physicians and hospital staff.

  • Maintaining contact with major accounts and relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Attending and participating in customer, company and industry sponsored forums and courses.

  • Collaborating closely with the sales teams in developing and maintaining working relationships with the economic buyer in the region’s key accounts, covering new contract designs and negotiations involving products and solutions.

  • Educating local sales teams to manage projects in identified accounts after successful project implementation allowing for continued development of new accounts.

  • Acting as an interface with customers and the sales team, with direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and processes to identify, notify and ensure any complaints or problems are addressed, demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviours.

  • Guiding the local leadership team to maintain full compliance with the BSC Quality System (Corporate Quality Manual and Procedures) and the local quality requirements under the initiative of International Quality.

What are we looking for in you:

  • A degree qualification in a relevant field, preferably within Biomedical Sciences.

  • Successful industry experience with 5 years or more in a sales or clinical (support) role from the Medical Device or Medical Technology sector, preferably working within the cardiology space across electrophysiology and/or cardiac rhythm management.

  • Strong commercial mindset with skills across new and existing business development, sales processes, negotiations, influencing key stakeholders, and managing collaborations.

  • Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with clinical teams and sales teams.

  • Initiative-taking, attention to detail, and problem solver.

  • Able to rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.

  • Strong collaborator, collaborative, ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally.

  • Dutch and English language skills, both written and verbal, at a professional working proficiency level. In exceptional cases merely fluency in English could be considered as well.

  • Comfortable traveling extensively across The Netherlands as required by the workload.

  • Comfortable operating in a remote field-based role.

  • An existing network among the Dutch national EP community is a strong differentiator.
