As an Advanced Compliance Global Black Belt (GBB) – Data Governance and e-Discovery, you will be a senior technical sales leader within our enterprise sales organization working with our most important customers and deals. You will lead a virtual team of technical, partner, marketing and engineering resources to advance the sales process and achieve technical win as well as meet and exceed sales target for related workload in your accounts. You will help customers evaluate their applications, recommend solutions that meet their requirements, remove roadblocks to deployment and drive customer satisfaction. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of technical experience and/or knowledge in any of the following: data security and governance solutions, Industry solutions including but not limited to any of the following Relativity, OpenText, Smarsh, Veritas, Exterro, Symantec, Proofpoint, MacAfee, Titus, Forcepoint, or related

Other Requirements

  • Cloud Screening: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Candidates should be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management
  • Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture)

Responsibilities
  • Sales Acceleration: Act as subject matter expert for data security and governance workloads (e-discovery Premium, Records Management, Data Lifecycle Management, Microsoft Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management,), navigating industry and complex deal orchestration, supporting competitor displacement opportunities and sharing proven practices with the field through readiness and coaching to accelerate sales opportunities.
  • Technical Depth and Breadth:
    • Deep technical understanding of data security and governance space, industry standards and solutions. Knowledge of Microsoft data security and governance solutions or relevant industry solutions (Relativity, OpenText, Smarsh, Veritas, Exterro, Symantec, Proofpoint, MacAfee, Titus, Forcepoint, etc.)
    • Advanced Compliance GBB stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in security space including new tech, competitors, and internal product and services offerings.
  • Thought Leadership: Be a thought leader in the e-discovery, data governance, data security, and privacy space by participating in internal Microsoft technical communities, broader industry events and by publishing blogs, whitepapers and reference architectures.
  • Solution Design & Proof:
    • Demonstrates and oversees proof of concepts, presents and applies architecture patterns, proves capabilities and integration into customer environment, and drives cross-workload support for Microsoft solutions for security. Leverages insights and coaches teams to align new or changing technology to customer security needs.
    • Develop strategies and recommendations to improve the client’s data security posture in partnership with field sellers, contributes to Microsoft Security strategy development, shapes strategic win plan and tailors Microsoft messaging to audience for data security and governance opportunities.
  • Collaborate across teams and strategic influence:
    • Mentor Security and Technical Specialist members of the team and lead the community to foster best practice sharing. Scale impact by transferring knowledge and building local capabilities for the field.
    • Aggregate field and voice of customer and partner with business architects and product teams to uncover and prioritize improvements and enhancements to data security and governance solutions.
  • Executive Presence: Engage confidently at Chief Experience Officer (CxO) level and help our customers meet their privacy, compliance and legal obligations by clearly communicating the shared responsibility model, explaining the compliance of our platform with key regulations and frameworks, and advising customers on meeting their compliance and legal responsibilities regarding our platform.
