The hardware applications team provides comprehensive support to all Compute and Mobile system-on-chip (SoC) products. This team interfaces with cross-functional internal teams and global applications engineering teams for end-to-end customer support ranging from customer training, development support, commercialization support, to mass production. We are looking for passionate engineers with a complex SoC hardware background and understanding of Compute and Mobile systems. The Applications team also bridges customer requirements with internal plan of record, identifies gaps in requirements, and proposes solutions to mitigate the gaps.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Work on advanced RF front-end modules, RF verification design for cellular/wireless applications.

The RF Design Engineer will deliver RF Front-End Module validation designs in a fast-paced environment and is required to work closely with IC design engineers to optimize a module design by extensive co-simulation and co-design verification based on RF system knowledge.

Module impedance matching (board tuning) - unmolded and DVT - Design Verification Test -Lab setup for test execution and results analysis for re-design process.

RF Hardware Engineers will support all aspects of RF design and project planning for wireless voice and data communications devices. Provide radio design including RF system analysis, link budget, RX/TX architecture, filter requirements/design, detailed hardware design, PCB layout supervision, and component selection. Applicant can expect to support a range of project requirements, R&D programs, and work in a multi-discipline environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates that have experience in the design, development, and testing of the RF/analog subsystems of complex digital communications systems. Candidates must have familiarity of wireless standards and a background in the design and test of wireless products and circuitry including CDMA, WCDMA, GSM, and LTE receivers, transmitters, and synthesizers. Knowledge of GPS Receivers and Bluetooth, WiFi transceivers considered a plus. Should have experience in RF layout techniques using multi-layered FR4 pwb material. Must be a self-starter who can work independently. Minimum of 5 years RF engineering design experience.

Preferred: Master's, Electrical Engineering Mandatory:

Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish languages
