Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years' development experience with commercial grade software, with much of that experience in mission-critical, large scale, high availability services.
  • 2+ years' experience as an engineering manager, or a technical lead with a passion for coaching and mentoring others.
  • Previous experience in software engineering leadership roles with a track record of delivering scalable and reliable services and infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams.
  • Proficient understanding of cloud infrastructures, design patterns and standards
  • Competent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed, timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of incident management services and infrastructure.
  • Ensure services are highly secure, reliable, performant and scalable across multiple clouds
  • Implement best practices and standards to maintain high-quality service and infrastructure delivery and operations.

Strategic Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and operational processes.

Technical Excellence:

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic planning and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with security and compliance standards throughout the engineering lifecycle.
