The selected candidate will:
Have strong design and hands on development experience on enterprise software applications for both on prem and cloud using primarily Microsoft technologies. Leads the delivery of solution or infrastructure development services for a large or more complex project, using advanced technical capabilities. Takes accountability for the design, development, delivery and maintenance of solutions or infrastructure, driving compliance with and contributing to the development of relevant standards. Fully understands business and user requirements and ensures design specifications meet the requirements from a business and technical perspective. Your key responsibilities

  • Managing a team of Devs/QAs to deliver a high visibility, global application in Assurance Regulatory & Compliance portfolio
  • Deep understanding on Agile and previous experience in Dev Lead role in an agile environment would be preferable
  • Hands-on technology experience who’d be required to provide technical leadership to the team and take up more challenging technical stories/spikes
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with different stakeholders within and outside the project
  • Knowledge of EY Best Practices, technology best practices to ensure that team is delivering quality
  • Responsible for reviewing code and providing feedback to the team
  • Able to interact with different teams like Performance Testing, Infosec etc. to get relevant information
  • Experience of leading a team to deliver stable products


Skills and attributes for success

  • Advanced technical proficiency in designing, developing, and debugging solutions

  • Container-based Technologies: Docker and Kubernetes

  • Frontend: Core JavaScript (Must have and deep expertise expected) and Backbone (Preferred but optional)

  • Backend: .Net Framework and NodeJS (at a high-level)

  • Database: No-SQL (Mongo DB or Cosmos DB)

  • Understanding of Information Security best practices like OWASP etc.


To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred

  • More than 5 years in an engineering role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.

  • At least 5 years of hands-on programming experience in high-level language(s) such as C#, JavaScript

  • Significant proven experience, at least 3 years, in building application using container-orchestration systems like Kubernetes, and container engines like Docker

  • At least 3 years of working knowledge of implementing/supporting No-SQL workloads: Mongo DB and/or Cosmos DB

  • Knowledge of technologies best practices to ensure the quality

  • Significant relevant experience in either an internal or external software or platform engineering role, or similar

  • Technical knowledge and experience in delivering software / platform engineering solutions (depending on specialism), providing comprehensive technical advice and handling user requirements

  • Project management experience in an engineering / development environment

  • Relevant experience in building real-time data pipelines and streaming apps using Kafka, and RabbitMQ message broker

  • CI/CD delivery using code management, configuration management and automation tools such as GitHub, VSTS, Ansible, DSC, Puppet, Ambari, Chef, Salt, Jenkins, Maven, etc.

  • Delivery using modern methodologies especially SAFe Agile, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary range/s. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $110,200 to $200,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $132,200 to $227,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
