Description -

Responsibility

• Develops display architectures and scaler/SoC/Edge AI strategies for display product engineering across Consumer and Commercial offerings.
• Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and silicon partner relationships for alignment with strategy roadmap and business value.
• Creates plans for new silicon introduction, technology integration and new experience into displays, while effectively communicating the proposal, and results, and negotiating options at business unit and executive levels.
• Reviews and evaluates product designs and project activities to ensure the desired experiences implemented.
• Oversees troubleshooting, initiates design improvements and documentation with the R&D, Engineering, and operations teams to achieve continuous improvement.
• Provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure.
• Contributes innovative ideas, exercising independent judgment to solve unique and complex problems impacting the business.
• Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise, developing strategy and setting functional policy and direction.
• Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, silicon partners and ODMs.
• Guides and mentors staff members on product engineering design, innovation and excellence.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Recommended

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product design & development, or a related field.
