Our Transaction Tax practice helps our clients plan, execute and integrate their transaction strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior you will be a member of the team developing and implementing transactions. You will work closely with a diverse team of professionals to deliver high-quality tax advisory services, helping clients navigate the tax implications of their business transactions and achieve their strategic objectives.

  • Provide comprehensive tax advisory services to clients on M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and post-transaction integration.

  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for clients, considering both domestic and international tax implications.

  • Conduct in-depth research on tax laws and regulations, and analyze their impact on clients' transactions.

  • Prepare detailed tax reports, memos, and presentations for clients, clearly communicating complex tax concepts and recommendations.

  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work products.

  • Work collaboratively with other EY service lines, including Assurance, Consulting, and Strategy and Transactions, to provide integrated solutions to clients.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing exceptional client service.

  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep understanding of domestic and international tax laws and regulations, particularly those related to mergers and acquisitions.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex tax issues and develop practical, tax-efficient solutions.

  • Proficiency in conducting thorough tax research using various tools and databases to stay updated on the latest tax developments.

  • Ability to prepare detailed and clear tax reports, memos, and presentations that effectively communicate complex tax concepts to clients.

  • Strong client service orientation with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and concisely to clients and stakeholders.

  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues across different service lines and geographies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax advisory, with a focus on M&A transactions. Experience in a Big Four or similar professional services firm is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax laws and regulations related to M&A transactions. Proficiency in tax research tools and software.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
