Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for supporting and managing the technical challenges with the ODM/JDM suppliers.Which require strong background in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) supplier environments. Also equipped with in-depth knowledge of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) processes and quality management systems. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes that improve productivity, reduce costs, drives continuous improvement to ODM partners, and ensure product quality meets customer specifications and industry standards, throughout the end to end product life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Review NPI build results and drive closures before mass production, including (DFM) Design for Manufacturing, PFMEA, etc.
Create support structure to gather issues and bugs to relay and prioritize with software engineering
Drive quality metrics and conduct product performance review, direct root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for process-related issues.
Lead the management of production line interruptions, including line-stop, stop-ship incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
Approve and follow Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Deviation requests.
Assess and enhance the technical capabilities of the MPa process.
Lead process improvement initiatives and apply value engineering techniques.
Develop and improve PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT, wave soldering, manual assembly, automation, and testing.
Execute process validations and qualifications in line with industry standards and practices.
Analyse production data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
Participate in supplier audits and provide technical expertise during assessments.
Lead new supplier evaluations, site audits, and oversee product transfers (Local & international).
Onboard and bring up new ODM sites
Uphold compliance with all applicable security policies.
Develop, implement, and maintain the end to end ODM policy in accordance within ODM CoE organizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically with EMS & ODM suppliers.
Extensive knowledge of SMT - PCBA processes and equipment.
Proficient with Quality Management Systems & audit skills
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex quality or manufacturing issues.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Prefer to have experience on policy formation, QMS, process documents build up.
