What you’ll do

• Employ traditional actuarial skills and training in new and innovative ways to analyze claim trends for domestic and international insurance business
• Engage with counterparts to provide insightful analyses with practical solutions to address current concerns
• Identify and implement methods to automate and optimize existing processes and operations
• Communicate/present analysis findings to actuarial management and other internal stakeholders
• Ad hoc exploratory analysis

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or similar
• ACAS + 6 years of property casualty insurance experience
• Excel skills, proficient with SQL (or similar querying language)
• Experience with commercial or personal auto insurance

Preferred Qualifications

• FCAS designation
• Experience with R, Python or similar coding language
• Experience in exploratory data analysis on insurance claims
• Motivation to dive into the details of analysis and learn complex topics from first principles and hands-on experience
• Great communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
• Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution
• Enthusiasm about Uber!

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$178,000 per year - USD$197,500 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$178,000 per year - USD$197,500 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$160,000 per year - USD$177,500 per year.
