As a Sr. Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing one or all of the following functional areas of support - Safety, EMC, RF, and Energy Efficiency. Successful candidates are expected to have strengths in two or more of these areas. You will collaborate with AWS business teams, product compliance TPMs, agency partners, and legal to drive global delivery of certifications for critical hardware. You will constantly seek and implement methods to innovate how we operate and scale. You will also regularly communicate with senior leadership on status, risk, and strategy. If you are a fast learner, excellent listener and communicator, enjoy building relationships, and see complex issues as opportunities, then this is the role for you!Successful candidates will have deep subject matter expertise in being able to identify technical compliance requirements, design techniques for achieving first time test passes, and trouble-shooting issues to find root cause, corrective actions, and preventative actions.Key job responsibilities
- Scope new programs to identify technical requirements in the domain of one or, preferably more, of these regulatory areas: Safety, EMC, RF, and Energy Efficiency.- Leverage your deep functional knowledge to manage technical issues with our Design Partners (ODM/JDM) and, when required, dive deep to solve gating issues.

- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- 3 years experience as a compliance engineering supporting the development of electronic or mechanical products
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
- Experience with the following: UL/CSA/IEC 62368-1; UL891 and UL508A; FCC Part 15 and EN55032/35; EMC, Low Voltage, and Machinery Directives
- Experience with product types such as Information Technology, Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear, and Air Handling Units
- Familiarity with Environmental Compliance Requirements is desirable (RoHS/REACH/SCIP/TSCA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
