Responsibilities:

  • Development of a System Safety Program Plan, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Functional Hazard Analysis, Common Cause Analysis, System Safety Analysis / Safety Assessment Report, and support of the Hazard Tracking System.
  • Writing clear and concise system safety requirements and support of relevant validation and verification activities.
  • Identifying and categorizing Safety-Significant (safety-critical and safety-related) functions and their effects within the hardware, software, and human interfaces of the design architecture.
  • Performing Fault Tree Analyses.
  • Conducting Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
  • Supporting the Design Assurance process and other related design review milestones (i.e., PDR, CDR, DDR etc.).
  • Coordinate and drive SEMI S2/S8/S14 evaluations to meet division and company needs
  • Facilitate hazard analysis and the related risk assessments for new products, and review upgrades and retrofits to existing products for safety compliance
  • Provide leadership to the engineering on Product Safety & Compliance requirements
  • Conduct Safety Assessments and Leading 3rd Party evaluations
  • Coordinating personnel & tool time for evaluation & testing
  • Driving closure of open issues with 3rd party and Engineering
  • Meet PLC timelines for tool and equipment shipment deadlines
  • Organize and drive CE & Other country specific marking evaluations
  • Drive EMC testing to ensure product market accessibility, i.e. EU and Korea and other jurisdictions as necessary
  • Perform Electrical & Safety Testing per SEMI and other regulatory evaluations
  • Support divisional review of customer purchase documents and ensure responses are in alignment with division and Corporate Compliance requirements
  • Track safety reports (SEMI, UL, TUV, CE) to address customer requests
  • Communicate product compliance updates with the appropriate KLA personnel.
  • Collaborate with personnel at KLA domestic and international offices.
  • Monitor product compliance regulations and identify practical approaches towards compliance.
  • Support the implementation of various product compliance programs to align with customer requirements and governmental regulations.

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
