We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is a high performer, a proactive self-starter and a strong communicator. Relevant experience in or more of the following areas is required: sustainability or green taxation/ incentives or EU institutions. Client facing experience is desired but not essential for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring global sustainability and green tax policy developments,
    • Support setting up, managing and overseeing tax sustainability policy EMEIA network
    • Track global/ EMEIA policy and regulatory developments through interactions with tax and public sustainability policy network as well as the EU policy and lawmakers.
    • Select and draft Tax sustainability policy developments and horizon scanning summaries for updates to Managed Services clients and clients subscribed to Green Tax Tracker service.
  • Briefing Global Sustainability Tax & law leadership team, the practice and clients
    • Drive development of Global and Area Sustainability Tax & Law leadership teams (quarterly events) including research/ materials sourced from the global policy group and write thought leadership
    • Provide Sustainability Tax Policy- related information to the sector leads for Tax and xSL initiatives . Briefings are expected to be delivered through xSL teaming and working with the global/ EMEIA Tax Sustainability Policy network.
    • Support client events that include Global Policy content (the list is currently being identified)
  • Thought leadership
    • Provide Sustainability Tax Policy- related information to the sector leads for Tax and xSL initiatives
    • Support business development and delivery of client projects linked to the global Tax Sustainability Policy e.g. the regulatory monitoring projects, policy developments and the impact assessment projects
    • Support development of EY point of view with Sustainability Tax Policy content for client events’, briefing of the leadership teams (internal deliverables) and client deliverables
  • Client engagements
    • Drive and deliver (with support from EDGE/local teams) selected client opportunities linked to Tax Sustainability Policy such as Impact assessments based on the current an anticipated regulatory/ green tax developments.
    • Participate in selected ‘walk-thru the recent developments sessions’ with clients during the regular update sessions.
