Roles and Responsibilities
  • Partner with functions & operations to lead productivity efforts for the International region
  • Establish reporting tools and KPI’s that drive accountability and visibility into cost performance
  • Set up processes, tools and governance to manage cost proactively, including policies, delegation of authority and reviews
  • Partner with central FP&A and zone finance leaders to translate cost actions, to their upstream impact to the P&L at final delivery, and the zones are meeting target costs.
  • Partner with functions & operations to identify, offset, and scale cost projects and offset cost pressures
  • Calculate impact of strategic processes, validate results, communicate outcome
  • Co-lead the creation and sustainment of monthly Cost and Productivity rhythms
  • Perform role with mindset for continuous improvement using lean methodologies
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and 8+ years financial work experience.
  • Fluent in English and any other local language required
  • At least 6 years of experience managing a multi-functional Finance organization
  • Strong knowledge of GE financial and commercial operating systems
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Accounting Principles and Controllership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions. Prioritize minimum gemba walks to enable frontline dynamics.
  • Leadership experience of managing teams distributed across multiple countries.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to add value to operating teams
  • Experience with SAS (software as service) and digital products will be a plus
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure; accelerate pacing of actions; collaborate for a dynamic daily management system.
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment and a multi-cultural environment
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools
