- Evaluate and analyze trade-offs of state of the art panel designs, architecture, and related processes- Define panel technology development scope, requirements, and roadmap - Collaborate with cross functional stake-holders to establish panel requirements- Define panel electrical and optical architectures that enable the best display performance through total system optimization including pixel/panel design and process, interaction between backplane and frontplane, and frontplane architecture.- Electrical and optical characterization of displays, conduct failure analysis and define corrective action DOEs
- B.S. in EE or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in related field.
- Experience in display panel technology, tech development and/or integration (e.g. TFT and/or Si backplane, active matrix display, OLED frontplane)
- Experience in panel testing, validation, failure analysis, and defining corrective DOEs
- M.S. or Ph.D.
- Proven track record and hands-on experience in the development of active matrix displays or similar technologies
- Supplier/vendor management experience
- Broad and end-to-end understanding of display technologies covering backplane and front-plane and their interdependencies
- Knowledge in flat panel display technologies, panel design, related fabrication processes, device physics, and optoelectronics is a plus
- Proficiency in data analysis using coding languages such as Python or Matlab
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Concise & effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English
