What you'll do

Your primary focus will be to learn the codebase and collaborate with your team members. At junior level, you are expected to deliver on small sized, non-complex tasks that are well-defined and estimated, as an individual contributor within your team. You receive mentoring and coaching support from senior team members to enable your growth and develop your skills further.

  • Help develop new APIs in Java mostly using Dropwizard
  • Help to configure and run the services in Kubernetes clusters using Helmcharts
  • Together with the team, be end-to-end responsible for the product, from discussing features in the team with the PO to bringing and observing it in production
  • Ensuring quality of developed features by implementing tests on different levels (unit, component and end-to-end)
  • Participate in pair programming sessions with senior team members on a regular basis and act on feedback provided
  • Actively contribute towards writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria and applying estimation techniques
  • Learn from experienced senior developers and gain valuable insights into agile product development
  • Create and update documentation
  • Learn and follow agile methodologies (such as Scrum, Kanban), and actively contribute to team ceremonies such as daily standups, events and meetings


What you bring

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Basic knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming in Java
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Have a growth mindset and proactively pursue learning opportunities and challenges
  • Passion for programming and a good logical understanding of technical processes
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
