About the role:
While this position will individually drive complex projects and programs, it also requires advancing best practices for the PMO team and across the organization. This comprehensive role ensures the successful delivery of CDx programs and the continuous improvement of the organization’s project management practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manages the full project lifecycle, including initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes, while building team ownership and commitment.
- Estimates project effort and resources using standard estimating techniques and collaborates with staff to define project scope.
- Prepares comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets utilizing tools like Microsoft Project. Help the business move toward better project schedule predictability.
- Directs project execution, assigns tasks, tracks progress, identifies risks, and develops contingency plans, ensuring project quality.
- Assures project quality by using standard software development methodologies
- Communicates project status through standard reports and update meetings with departmental and customer stakeholders.
- Resolves project issues collaboratively, with team members and stakeholders, ensuring smooth project progression.
- Conducts project post-mortems to extract lessons learned and communicates these to improve future project outcomes.
- Engages with external project management organizations and participates in conferences and seminars to integrate industry best practices. This role will advance program management capability and project / portfolio framework
- Partner with key functions to deliver a high-quality commercialization process
- Leads medium-sized, occasionally multi-site, cross-functional development teams, providing performance feedback and influencing team dynamics.
- Acts as a liaison between the team and project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and leading business reviews and project documentation.
- Anticipates business and external developments to drive BSC growth and recommends product, process, or service improvements.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, fosters a diverse workplace, and may direct activities and budgets of various organizational units.
Required qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a software engineering role.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams.
- Professional experience in a program management role as an individual contributor or leader.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in a medical device regulated development environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proven ability to create a positive working culture within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work across functional teams in a matrixed environment.
