Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up & delivery of goods. Manage Logistics Costs to meet budgets and Op Plans.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Manage the import and export operation in coordination with fulfillment and customs team.
  • Help manage the transportation and distribution warehouse operations and drive the continuous improvements.
  • Roll out the global warehouse standard and optimize the warehouse operations.
  • Financial responsibilities related to helping achieve OP performance.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current, new and potential service providers.
  • Support and enable standardization of transportation processes across the region.
  • Help drive Variable Cost Productivity initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with sourcing, operations, service operations, supply chain and finance to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes.
  • Support change initiatives to enable logistics to reach a world-class level of operations.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Economical
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in logistics, engineering, or supply chain management.
  • Having network with local/international forwarder
  • Solid knowledge and experience in transportation, import and export and warehousing management.
  • Proven ability to meet deadline in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
