As an Account Executive, you will identify and develop new strategic opportunities with existing clients. You will develop strong relationships with key customer contacts at all levels of the business to gain an understanding of key business drivers that influence purchasing decisions.
You will:
- Penetrate target agencies/organizations as assigned and other supporting agencies/organizations to uncover longer term opportunities. Broadens and deepens existing customer relationships to gain strategic positioning, retain existing revenue, and attain additional business
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups (sales, product design, and marketing across multiple BUs) to develop solutions, strategies and marketing materials based on customer/field experiences.
- Active participate in industry associations, facilitates agency/industry meetings for awareness of best practice solutions, and demonstrates value to Dell through increased awareness, bid opportunities, and win effectiveness.
- Develop and communicate prioritized list of strategic opportunities for target government organizations and briefs senior management on high dollar opportunities.
- Developand maintains milestones and metrics for presentation to management that measure the progress of strategic plans, projects, and programs against organizational goals and objectives. Identifies, qualifies and develops a pipeline of strategic opportunities and growth strategy to achieve annual new business objectives
Essential Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in Federal Section sales and/or technical background, complex selling campaigns in the support of mission program business opportunities (multi-year with partnership requirements)
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government personnel security clearance. Active clearance preferred
- The individual should have strong communication skills with the ability to consult effectively with public sector clients and contractor community executives
- Ability to work collaboratively in a large matrix team environment.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Desirable Requirements
- Field sales experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
