In this role, you'll guide organizations on how to implement green practices and reduce their environmental footprint. You will work with management to develop an overall sustainability program.
You are responsible for
and tracking globalproduct regulations on material compliance and regulated substances,egRoHS, REACH,regulations onPFAS
Assessing the impact of regulatory changes and implementing internal processes,standardsand work instructions, helping Philips internal businesses to comply.
Representing Philips and its position in different sector-specific industry associationsand standardization bodies
Creating training materials and deploying training and standard processes to product development teams across Philips businesses regarding environmental product compliance
Supporting Philips businesses with expert knowledgeon requirements and implementation, providing recommendations to anticipate future regulations, and supporting resolution of non-conformities
Maintaining,simplifying,and automating internal processes, standards, and tools, regarding environmental product compliance
Analysis and reporting of compliance data to support customer and tender requests, and managementreviews
Providing the manufacturing sustainability team with regulatory inputs regarding the use of chemicals during production
Work in close collaboration with other Subject Matter Experts within Environmental reporting and Group Health and
You're the right fit if:
Master’s degree (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related studies) with proven subject matter expertise
5 years of working experience in the field of chemical regulatory affairs (with a focus on product and chemical raw materials) in the field of product stewardship.
Experience with legislation for chemical raw materials and article compliance, with extra focus on the EEE industry, (REACH, RoHS, POP, California Proposition 65, etc.)
Ability to manage and analyze data in Excel and ability to quickly learn technical tools
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively interface interdepartmentally and with all stakeholders, also external.
Willing to work hybrid and willing to travel globally if needed
You are fluent in the English language
Experience in representation and engagement in sector-specific industry associations is preferred.
Ability to translate international regulations and standards into clear guidance and operational procedures.
Understanding technical aspects and process requirements to ensure products are safe, effective, and compliant before they are put on the market.
