Your role:

• Assuring compliance with national and international regulations and standards relevant to microbiological quality of medical devices.
• Developing, creating, executing, updating, and troubleshooting laboratory procedures. Perform moderately complex testing and occasional on-of-a-kind analysis
• Coordinating, designing and/or executing qualifications, and validations of critical systems such as compressed air systems, process water system as well as controlled environments. Assess and determine testing requirements when changes and modifications are made to the critical systems.
• Validating, using and maintaining sophisticated scientific instrumentation and assisting engineers, scientists, or other technicians in the design, development, and building of test protocols or monitoring strategies, commensurate with experience level.
• Reviewing and approving materials and suppliers for ingress or use in cleanroom environments ensuring new items will not compromise the environment, raw materials, finished devices, or work surfaces.
• Maintaining necessary equipment supplies and order nonstandard parts for laboratory equipment. Coordinate calibration, repair, and maintenance on laboratory equipment.

You're the right fit if:

• BA/BSin Microbiology/Biological Sciencesor 6+ years of experienceas a microbiologistdiscipline with hands-on laboratory experience in that environment
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14644, ISO 11737 and AAMI ST72
• Hands-on microbiology focus in a medical device environment including process and facility qualification and validation and at experience within laboratory facility

• Good understanding of quality concepts and tools. Good understanding and experience in advanced problem solving including statistical techniques.

• Proficient in technical matters. Must have good technical writing skills.
