What you'll do:
As a Project Manager, you will self-sufficiently manage the full lifecycle of customer projects, responsible for successfully delivering development projects. Your role encompasses a variety of areas:
Deal Shaping:
- Creating estimates and milestones for projects and defining project boundaries.
- Collaborating with management, sales team, SAP Standard, and Consulting during the pre-project opportunity phase.
Successful Project Setup and Delivery:
- Gaining customer trust.
- Setting up and coordinating projects with customers based in Europe and virtual teams from Europe and Asia.
- Ensuring the project's successful delivery, meeting the scope, time, quality, and budgetary requirements.
- Agile project delivery.
- Scope and change request estimation and negotiation.
Development Methodology Expertise and Compliance:
- Mastering the SAP development methodology and acting as its ambassador for the development teams.
- Ensuring adherence to best practices, standardized procedures, and delivery channels for the best project outcomes and compliance with internal and external regulations.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting:
- Managing stakeholders across SAP Consulting, SAP Standard, Sales Team, Go-to-Market Team, Controlling, and Revenue Recognition.
- Reporting to top management, including board communication.
- Tracking and reporting project status regularly to stakeholders.
- Updating cost forecasts and handling invoicing.
Learning:
- Sparring with senior project managers, primarily based in Germany, to gain guidance.
- Sharing experience within our team.
Hard-Skills Experience:
- Work Experience: 8+ years of project management.
- Managed team size: Experience managing 3+ scrum teams and distributed teams.
- Methodology: Experience with 3+ projects running in Agile methodology.
- Customer-facing projects experience.
- Knowledge in cloud practices relevant to project management (e.g., delivery mechanism, CI/CD).
- Seasoned in realistic estimation of projects and boundary setting for successful project setup.
- Excellent workshop setup and facilitation skills.
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
