In this role you will have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders and execute against the department’s strategic vision.


• Manages a team of credit officers providing guidance and thought leadership with meaningful and defined accountability.
• Performs credit assessments and reviews up to a designated approval authority limit and recognizes possible risks that an issuer/ client's business may pose to the organization while providing recommendations and escalations to mitigate such risks.
• Sets the team’s priorities, directs activities, monitors progress, and drives for results
• Responsible for select credit risk portfolios including but not limited to monitoring and approval of exposure limits, identification of concentrations, trends, and watch list items related to the portfolio as well as assignment of timely and accurate risk ratings.
• Monitors exception reporting for significant issues and works with appropriate stakeholders to understand issues, approve resolution plans and escalate potential problems to senior management.
• Performs collateral valuation and analysis, evaluation of accounting system controls and data integrity and managerial control reviews, elevating significant findings and areas of concerns.
• Utilizes a strong understanding of the business, the products covered (incl. marketing, pricing, and servicing), and the market in which the business operates (e.g., customers serviced, alternative products, competitors) to perform credit risk analysis and present conclusions to senior management to facilitate decision making.
• May represent JPMorgan in external discussions (e.g. regulatory or with clients) around risk-related matters and due diligence.
• May work with the Model Review Group to prepare model documentation, provide credible challenge, and obtain usage approvals. Understands, reviews and challenges quantitative models & their output – applying experience and judgement to look beyond standard assumptions or BAU and identify risks & mitigants.
• Creates and maintains robust policies, procedures, standards, and job aids in line with document governance practices
• Executes the department’s strategic vision and agenda and works with stakeholders across functions to deliver on initiatives
• Identifies opportunities to enhance Risk processes and participates in projects and solutions

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Finance or related field and 7+ years of work experience in job offered or in a credit risk related occupation.
• 3+ years of management experience
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to analyze credit structures, identify and mitigate credit risks, and make informed decisions
• Attention to detail and ability to learn complex processes that affect various functions and business units within Credit Risk Management
• Ability to identify problems and propose solutions
• Thinks strategically and creatively when faced with problems and opportunities
• Demonstrates leadership skills including willingness to own initiatives and drive projects to completion
• Strong sense of accountability with ability to operate independently with confidence, to interact credibly with business stakeholders and to build strong partnerships across a global organization
• Ability to work effectively and respectfully with others to foster an inclusive environment
• Highly organized, self-motivated and hard working with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset to foster teamwork
• Understanding of the different types of risk and ability to discuss in detail ways of managing these risks
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can engage and influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner.
