We are currently seeking a highly talented and motivated development engineer to work on our SAP Database Products and Technology. As a successful candidate for this role, you will have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, fluency in coding and systems design, solid communication skills and a desire to solve complex problems of scale which are uniquely SAP. You will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to a wide range of Database Management System products that deal with query parser, compilation and execution. You will use your skills and your initiative to improve the functionality and performance of these components. You will develop and enhance core components of these components. In addition to current technology, you will work on new exciting technologies in the field of in-memory and distributed computing to assure SAP’s continuous leadership in the marketplace.

The Role:

• Responsible for designing and building product integrated database with high performance and high reliability
• Responsible for coding, reviewing, troubleshooting, problem solving and testing of related component of database engine focus on sql/query processing area
• Responsible for quality and quality improvements
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and cost
• Responsible for troubleshooting customer issues, performance tuning, root cause assessing and solution
• Prioritize tasks, develops detailed design, and estimate effort required to completion of projects
• Follow the software development cycle from inception and requirement to successful release of product

Role Requirements:

• 3+ years of working experiences, welcome fresh graduates
• C, C++ Programming language with strong debugging skills (incl multi-threaded programming)
• Computer architecture, Linux, Python, scripts
• High standard on software quality
• Professionalism, Responsibility, Integrity, and Team work
• Interest in solving "real" problems with new ideas and logical reasoning
• Expertise in Database internals and/or operating system internals is a plus
