What You’ll Do

The SAP HANA Cloud Database Core Team is looking for experienced C++ developers to work on the HANA Cloud Database Core Basis layer.

• Work on critical system-level components and algorithms using C++
• Write regression tests for your code using various programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, SQL) and testing frameworks
• Analyze issues such as crashes or performance problems reported from the test infrastructure or by our customers
• Conduct code reviews and code audits to improve usability, testability, supportability, and performance

What You Bring

• Strong C++ programming skills and experience in implementing performance-critical systems
• Extensive knowledge of the GNU/Linux operating system and its systems programming interface
• Working knowledge of assembly and common CPU architectures (Intel, ARM, Power)
• Willingness to analyze and debug complex problems
• Experience in administration of and profiling on GNU/Linux
• Experience with continuous integration concepts and tools such as Git and Gerrit
• Python or shell-scripting programming skills

The SAP HANA Cloud Database Core Basis team works on the foundational layer of the SAP HANA Cloud Database. We are responsible for managing various system resources (memory, CPU, file, and network I/O), diagnostics, synchronization, and, last but not least, our own implementation of the C++ standard library.
