The Chief of Staff Office is where we strategically develop and implement large scale initiatives for the Consumer Bank Branch network.
As a Project Manager in Chief of Staff Office, you will support various aspects of the business and its strategic initiatives from both a strategic and operational perspective. Driving, planning & executing key priorities, serving as a business stakeholder on various projects, and by leading business analysis in support of executive decision-making. The role requires excellent communication skills, flexibility, and comfort with ambiguity. Additionally, you will manage a rapid pace of change, be detail oriented, and possess a strong ability to influence & collaborate with various stakeholders at all levels of the firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day initiatives for Consumer Branch Banking leadership team; provide clarity and alignment across leadership and functional teams, including cross-LOB and JPM-wide groups and CCB/WM leadership team
- Manage senior management presentations and communications using writing and presentation skills and knowledge of the business and management priorities
- Create content / agenda for Business Review with the CEO of Consumer Bank by acting as the central point of contact with the Chief of Staff to ensure a consistent message; manage weekly agendas for Staff Meetings and Monthly Strategy Sessions
- Present to senior management and stakeholders in various meetings
- Act as support partner for several high priority initiatives working collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and team members across LOBs and staff areas:
- Link strategy to execution through the development of clear objectives, timelines, and metrics
- Identify and remove barriers to execution, communications project updates clearly and transparently
- Independently develop value-adding business solutions
- Participate in meetings at the operational and project level; providing continuous feedback on project status and function as the overall escalation point to ensure the project tracts to original expectations
- Identify risk and escalate project issues quickly and appropriately, helping to resolve with solution-focused mindset
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- 3+ years of experience managing projects in a client-focused environment
- Excellent academic credentials with a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
- An outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both verbally and written); ability to apply quantitative and strategic approaches and work well in cross-functional teams
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills (both written and verbal); ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources
- Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint and executive presentation building skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize issues and analysis; strong organizational skills and detail-orientation, comfort juggling a dynamic and complex piece of work
- Demonstrated track record of a high level of initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals and ability to work in unstructured, dynamic environment
