As Basic Operability System Specification Engineer, you are responsible for the concept definition and the specification of requirements for Basic Operability area covering the operability aspects related to RAT-agnostic applications in SBTS (mainly BOAM) and its external interfaces towards other Network Elements and Network Management Systems. The responsibility also includes the feature-level planning and coordination of specification activities as well as post-specification support in R&D/test activities.

The Basic Operability System Specification Engineer for Radio Access Networks is responsible for the following tasks:

• Analysis of feature requests and feature user scenarios/stories
• Driving pre-study and feasibility studies to investigate solution feasibility for complex features
• Specification of system level basic operability requirements
• Drive the definition of RAT-agnostic operability Object Model
• Collaboration and coordination with stakeholders (ex. Product Management, R&D, Test teams, Customer support, etc) to discuss technical solutions to customer requirements
• Contribution to definition of new operability concepts, solutions and improvements
• Support R&D and Test team activities to ensure specified requirements are implemented and tested
• Drive and support maintenance and quality-related activities for owned features and assigned technical area
• Support customer discussions/workshops, including document preparation and analysis, where basic operability expertise is needed

Required skills:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or Software Technology or equivalent education.
• 5+ years experience in mobile network product development (R&D or Specification), test or network engineering
• Strong knowledge about mobile network technologies (5G, 4G, SRAN)
• Knowledge about Operability concepts, including Object Modelling
• Good Presentation and communication skills
• Background in agile development is a plus
• Language: Fluent written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills and capability to work seamlessly in multi-site environment.
