What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operate and set up Swiss-style CNC lathes and machines to produce precision parts for industries such as medical devices, aerospace, and automotive.
- Apply basic knowledge of G and M code to adjust for print specifications.
- Read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Select appropriate tools, inserts, and machine parameters to optimize machining efficiency and part quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on Swiss machines.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to refine machining processes and improve product quality.
- Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks to ensure parts meet specified tolerances and standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Swiss Machinist in a precision fabrication environment.
- Proficient in operating and setting up Swiss-style CNC lathes and machines.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and fixture design.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with programming CNC machines using CAM software.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
