Our ANZ Engagement and Social Planning Section partners with our clients and the broader Jacobs business to design, deliver and evaluate communications and engagement approaches for major infrastructure projects. We help our clients solve their most complex challenges in ways which consider stakeholder and community impacts, and seeks to deliver positive environmental outcomes. We collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across a range of markets including water, defence, energy, power and transport. You will:

  • Live Sydney Water and CreekConnect’s shared values and ensure the ‘customer is at the heart’ as we deliver the Upper South Creek Networks Program.
  • Work with Sydney Water’s Delivery Contractors to develop and implement community and stakeholder engagement plans to engage impacted stakeholders, communities and customers.
  • Work in multi-disciplinary project teams and liaise day-to-day with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and participate in continual improvement.
  • Develop your consultancy and project management skills, in line with Jacobs Global Career Framework.
  • Be open to working in a range of locations including project sites, the Parramatta office and home, depending on stakeholder and community requirements.
Here's what you'll need
  • At least 5 years of community and stakeholder engagement experience, ideally with training in or an understanding of IAP2 (International Association of Public Participation) principles.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, sustainability, environmental science / management, urban planning, engineering or other social science disciplines.
  • Previous experience in infrastructure projects, preferably in the water sector and the construction/delivery phase of a project.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and high levels of emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Strong organisational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude with an interest in continuous learning and improvement.
  • Full driver’s licence as the role will involve driving to sites in Western Sydney.
