Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Principal Learning Consultants to own the design for specific programs and stand-alone offerings that support the learning & performance needs of associates in the Product Management job family at Capital One

  • Complement the needs analysis process by identifying the additional context that will help to ensure successful transfer of skills to the job

  • Increase the effectiveness of learning solutions by identifying and recommending format/modalities that create an optimal learning experience and demonstrate an understanding of adult learning principles

  • Working with SMEs, design and develop curriculum, programs, learning materials, and performance support tools (including self-study, classroom, e-Learning, etc.) based on industry design standards for a given modality (includes traditional, web, and mobile design)

  • Demonstrate an aptitude for, knowledge of, and agility with new learning technologies

  • Represent the Product College Learning Consulting & Design team in broader project efforts, ensuring that the end-to-end of the learning experience is considered alongside project timeline goals

  • Engage with project team members to enable clarity of goal; conduct on-going reviews to ensure outcome is on track to meet client needs

  • Partner with other Instructional Designers and Learning Consultants on the team to support the ADDIE process, as appropriate

  • Create evidence-based assessments and evaluation methods

  • Assume personal responsibility for projects and follow-through to completion with minimal need for direct supervision

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 2 years of experience in Instructional Design

  • At least 2 years of experience with learning content development tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Design Suite, and Camtasia)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of Instructional Design for digital modalities

  • At least one year of experience in UI/UX and graphic design

  • At least one year of experience with mobile content creation, curation and delivery

  • At least one year of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and video editing software)
