Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to the mechanical design, test and analysis of fans and compressors within the Engine Systems and Component Analysis (ESCA) organization of Honeywell Aerospace Technologies’ Engines and Power Systems Engineering. Will be responsible for engineering tasks associated with the analytical design, development, production and field support activities for blades, vanes, disks, and impellers. Responsible for supporting currently fielded products, assisting to define product improvements and helping to conceive new and innovative concepts to develop fans, axial rotors and impellers. Mechanical design and analysis efforts will focus on continuous improvement through lessons learned, best practices, innovative thinking and comparative benchmarking to achieve state-of-the-art technology that will be integral in securing present and future business by consistently meeting or exceeding customer requirements.

- Stress analysis; vibration analysis; deflection analysis; fatigue crack growth analysis
- Low cycle fatigue life analysis and high cycle fatigue life analysis
- Burst analysis
- Thermal analysis
- Compressor stack analyses
- Optimization methods for design
- Understanding component drawings (GD&T)
- Conduct mechanical testing of components (bench and rigs), core engines, development and flight engines
- Perform data reduction and analysis
- Product certification/qualification
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 4+ years of mechanical design and/or test experience in turbomachinery
- Proficiency in industry-standard mechanical analysis tools and software
- Experience with fans, compressors, axial rotors and impellers.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
