As a strong C++ software engineer, you will be responsible for working with our sr architects to design and upgrade code. You will be working on some major new programs as well as debugging legacy code. Each day is different will surely provide you with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with systems and hardware teams on requirements gathering and capture

  • Interact with global software and hardware teams to ensure software platform consistency across all MR platforms.

  • Develop software which meets rigorous quality, reliability, performance, and testability requirements.

  • Work closely with architects and team leads on design and architectural improvements.

  • Perform code and design reviews when appropriate. Use Scaled Agile Framework to implement software.

  • Support planning and execution through user stories to meet commitment made by scrum team.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience developing object oriented (OO) softwareleveraging object oriented design methodology.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience with application software development leveraging C++. (Must have a min of 5 yrs C++ sw development)

  • Familiarity using standard tools for embedded software development such as emulators, debuggers, analyzers

  • Familiarity with Realtime OS and interrupt handling

Desired Characteristics:
  • A minimum of two (2) years supporting hardware and software troubleshooting.

  • A minimum of two (2) experience with software development cycle or automated testing.

  • A minimum of one (1) years of experience working directly on/with Realtime OS such as VxWorks

  • A minimum of one (2) year experience developing embedded software including interrupt handling and multi-threaded applications.

  • Experience in heavily regulated environment that required rigor in documenting requirements, designs, testing, and results.

  • Demonstrated experienced working on medical devices within a Quality Management System (QMS) Experience developing for the VxWorks OS platform.
