The APAC Collateral Management business has experienced exponential growth in recent years with an increasingly diversified range of buyside clients across the region. The implementation of Uncleared Margin Rules that require counterparties who engage in bilaterally cleared over-the-counter (OTC) derivative trades to exchange initial margin (IM) and variation margin (VM) has been a key driver of business growth. As the trading behaviors and demand for collateral optimization from buyside clients become more sophisticated, the needs for innovative collateral solutions, for example, using digital assets and blockchain technology, continue to grow.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute the Collateral Management Product Strategy which includes understanding, planning, forecasting, and reporting P&L as well product commercial like pricing and expense management
• Build collateral solutions based on client requirements and market dynamic (particularly in APAC) as well as product requirements for relevant markets
• Manage legal and fee negotiation and Product Due Diligence based on knowledge of evolving regulatory landscape and potential impact to business strategy
• Manage daily escalations and provide guidance to functional partners as well as provide client facing teams with technical support including marketing information related to new and existing product functionalities
• Provide Product Thought Leadership through internal material and market publications and work with partner functions to deliver the product offering in a consistent way
• Apply product expertise in the development and roll-out of collateral solutions and manage projects/initiatives with proper governance and control and ensure product is appropriately marketed and positioned with new and existing clients
• Act as the key product sponsor for technology initiatives, providing guidance and day to day decision making to the program and project teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience in working effectively in a change environment and passionate about creating practical solutions to new challenges
• Highly structured and methodically in execution; demonstrate a keen eye on identifying and resolving risks, as well as strong project governance and control
• Ability to organize, communicate, and influence a range of audiences; expectation to display exceptional logical communication skills, (
  proficiency in a second or third languages such as Mandarin/Japanese/Korean would be advantageous to support our Chinese/Japanese/Korean clients

• Ability to disseminate substantial amounts of information and present this data in a logical manner and ultimately contribute to future product delivery
• Focus on superior strategic/break-through thinking and problem solving abilities as it relates to the business and the delivery of the new product offering
• Ability to gain access to individuals within a wide range of functions in the organization; earn a reputation for integrity, intelligence and problem solving

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 3 -5 years in Financial Services particularly Securities Servicing Industry
• Prior role in Collateral Management; Securities Clearing; Derivatives Clearing; Securities Financing/Lending; Custody
• Knowledge of the Securities Financing market as well as Derivatives Margining
