Electrical Engineer (Phetchaburi-Based)

Job Summary:

• Be required o be on-site in Printing factory,Phetchaburi.

• Work with HP R&D teams and key manufacturing partner to direct launch new product at the manufacturing partner location.

• This include working with the R&D team for early DFX inputs at design stage, providing new design and process issues isolation during proto builds, development of critical assembly and test equipment and overall product industrialization to enable effective product launch.

• It also include working with the manufacturing partner to manage early parts and process localization, new design parts availability at proto builds and overall build schedule and cost review with the team.

• At the production stage of a product, activities include review, implementation and qualification of product change orders, field issue investigation at factory and sustain effort to further stabilize process for higher yield, quality and lower manufacturing cost.

• It also involves working closely with the manufacturing partners to improve factory response time to shipment request, minimization of partner and HP owned in-process parts inventory and improving production build flexibilities.

• Each member of the team is expected to develop depth bench expertise in specific product subsystem, integration and full product and sub-system testing.

• Key individuals would take up engineering program management role for the transfer and startup of new product and program, as well as work with R&D for new product direct manufacturing launch at the partner location.

• The team is expected to enable the key link between product development and product/ process stabilization at partner manufacturing location.

• Each member of the team is expected to leverage past knowledge to quickly pick up new product and process knowledge while also continuously working with the manufacturing partner to sustain and increase the partner's knowledge base for continuous value add improvement from both the HP and manufacturing partner teams.

Responsibilities:

• Designs engineering solutions, utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and solutions based on established engineering principles and development technology guidelines, while ensuring cost effectiveness and quality.

• Ensures optimization of concepts and designs with analytical and physical assessments, to increase efficiency and improve quality.

• Develops and implements parameters and test plans for new and existing designs; track and verify actions for validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other engineering specifications and requirements.

• Performs technical risk assessments of engineering solutions developed and ensures appropriate risk mitigation efforts are undertaken.

• Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions.

• Develops recommendations on changes and design enhancements to improve reliability, security, processes, and performance.

• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

• Leads a project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for moderately- complex products.

• Represents the mechanical/ thermal team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.

• Delivers professionally written reports, and supports the realization of other operational and strategic plans.

• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of engineering design innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:

• Possess a degree in Electrical.

• 4~6 years of working experience in consumer or precision manufacturing industry.

• Familiar with high volume or high value machinery integration manufacturing activity.

• Project management and total quality management experience.

• Experience in managing outsourcing partner such as preferred.

• Fluency in English language.

• Demonstrated ability to speak confidently in groups of different nationality.

• Good project planning and execution.

• Strong analytical problem solving skills.

• Good team work and communication skills.

• Self driven, motivated and results orientated.

• Fast learner, able to grasp situation quickly and develop solutions independently.
