In this role, you will:
Collaborate and enable a constructive environment to support the WHSL Credit Policy Rationalization effort.
Lead a team of Business Policy Managers covering the Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, and Wealth & Investment Management businesses.
Provide appropriate support to Business Policy Managers who are outside of the WHSL Credit Policy Office.
Ensure businesses properly align to WHSL Credit Policies, within the required timeframes.
Ensure best practices are leveraged across the businesses.
Determine appropriate recommendations for business policy variances, exceptions, and violations.
Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers associated with the WHSL Credit Policy Rationalization effort.
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development to drive the company credit culture, desire, and business performance.
Interact with internal and external customers.
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
Ensure conformity with company / regulatory policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
6+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
3+ years of management experience.
Desired Qualifications
Extensive commercial credit experience across a broad spectrum of lending products, collateral types, and businesssegments.
4+ years experience in lending, with delegated credit approval authority (DCAA).
Demonstrated strength delivering effective solutions from concept to execution at scale in a cross line of business or enterprise environment.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical concepts so that they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives.
Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholder groups including line of business, operations, technology, and external service providers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a horizontal environment, including non-US partners.
Knowledge and understanding of credit: policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of loan portfolio management.
Knowledge of nCino platform is a plus.
A BS/BA degree or higher ; MBA, MS or MA preferred.
