Job Description:
Responsible for being the orchestrator for a solution in aand coaching to support execution. The roleis responsible forthe overall planfor the Platform andmake sure that the plan has the resources,
execute. This role will escalate impediments, manage risk, help ensure value delivery, and drive relentless improvement. Participates intransformation and coordination releases as needed.
Accountable for coaching Release Train Engineers (RTEs) in the new processes and mindsetsto achieve agility. Works closelywith the Agile Coaches (AC), Scrum Master Practice Lead, Executive Product Owners and Product Group Owners and shared services partners toand help drive work delivery to meet Platform and Technology strategicObjectives. This role is a leadership role that requires proficient knowledge in Scaled AgileDelivery, Conflict Management, constructive discussions that require the ability to challenge up and negotiate with multiple, cross functional teams on work priorities.
Customer:
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through a solution using various tools such as Kanban and other information radiators.
- Establish together with RTES and communicate the Program Increments (PIs) within the solution.
- Facilitates bi-monthly, monthly Product Family (PF_ syncs, quarterly business reviews per Platform Product Family and Feature alignment discussions to align PF on Feature priority.
- Facilitates PI Close Readout sessions with Executive Product Owners and Product Group Owners.
- Co-ordinates successfully the features to be deployed on the Agile Release Train being conducted by taking into consideration dependencies, order, and architecture
- Summarizes & Publishes the Program PI Objectives ensuring everything is rolling up to the Vision, Bold Aspirational Goals (B.A.G) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) balancing business and technology.
- Facilitates Synchronization meetings as required to keep delivery aligned to achieving the business outcomes.
- Assists with feature and capability estimation as needed including budgeting of spend through forecasting.
- Works cross-functionally to align strategy, methodology and execution with all relevant stakeholders (i.e. Product Owners, Program Management, Release Management, Architecture etc.)
- Provides input on resourcing to help teams identify bottlenecks.
- Coaches and promotes collaboration to leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Agile@Scale practices throughout releases to enable high performance.
- Partners with Segment Technology Executives and their teams, Executive Product Owner, and Product Group Owners to help assure strategy, vision and road map alignment and execution.
- Improves the flow of value through value streams by working with the AREs to improve DevOps and Release on Demand competency.
- Drives the Lean Innovation Cycle within the solution or Multiple releases.
- Primarily functions as a servant leader fostering Lean-Agile Continuous Delivery DevOps mindsets.
- Leads and supports Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to streamline and improve the work across the I&E Platform.
- Supports the Platform Stakeholders in building the Capability roadmap and disseminating this into backlogs for the integrated releases.
- Creates and maintains open levels of communications across releases and ensure leadership are kept informed with timely updates and comprehensive status reports.
- Leads, coaches, and reinforces target behaviors needed to achieve the business outcomes across all stakeholder groups.
- Identifies areas of continuous improvement towards building sustainability and predictability of the Solution.

- Applies best practices and knowledge of internal / external business issues to improve products or services in own discipline.
- Applies engineering and service philosophy principles to release practices, contributes to the development of engineering and service guidelines and principles by providing feedback to the practice leaders based on platform knowledge, experience, and identification of opportunities.
- Contributes to the creation of release and/or solution metrics with the goal of demonstrating automation progress and benefits achieved.
- Develops and recommends technical strategies and solutions to maintain or expand service levels.
- Leads and supports Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to streamline and improve the work across the I&E Platform.
- Leads and / or participates in cross-Product Family / Group activities to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations.
- Interacts with governance and control groups, (e.g. regulatory / operational risk, compliance, and audit) to provide subject matter expertise and consult on risk issues / items related to releases and solutions.
- Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
- Protects the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk transactions /activities as necessary.
- Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

Breadth & Depth:
- Key Subject matter expert with specialized knowledge in coordinating, leading and coaching multiple agile teams of teams (e.g., Product Groups, Product Families across platforms)
- Recognized as an Agile expert within and outside the company and requires broad and comprehensive expertise in leading edge theories or techniques in their own field.
- Focus is on coaching and training executive leadership and assisting Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters
- Significant in-depth expertise in Agile to interpret internal and external obstacles and recommend best practices.
- Coordinates the ceremonies, backlogs releases of various agile team of teams (e.g., Product Groups, Product Families) to successfully release in a program increment which incorporate many releases.
- Works with RTEs to drive continuous improvement across the solution train.
- Ensures there is alignment between the Program Increment's business outcomes design and delivery.
- Addresses difficult obstacles within their Solution, thinking critically to resolve impediments, be it architectural, leadership or logistics.
- Works with Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters to resolve complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify unique and innovative solutions.
- Offers advice and guidance for delivery teams on how to transition to and operate in scaled delivery environments.
- Ability to provide guidance and oversight to multiple teams, growing capability across the organization.
- Reports to Associate Vice President Infrastructure Delivery Execution
Experience and/or Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required in a related field such as information technology, computer science, Bus. Admin – Masters preferred.
- Typically requires 10 years of Agile experience.
- 7+ years of experience as a Coach, Prod Mgr, Scrum Master or Program Mgr.
- Certified SAFE Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFE Program Consultant (SPC), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (ACSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
- 5+ yrs. of related experience as an Agile coach involved in large-scale Agile transformations, coaching multiple agile teams, Agile Management tools
- 3+ Portfolio or Program Management Experience
